Hello, Friends of Figma, Orlando! 

We are hosting our first event. We will introduce you to Figma and take this chance to introduce ourselves! Meet fellow designers, whether you are a professional or a student. Our local kickoff event will have everyone leaving with something new: knowledge and connections.

For this event, we will be covering why Figma is so good and why the history of designers' mass migration from Photoshop to Sketch could soon repeat.

This event aims to introduce key advantages in Figma:

• Familiarity: sort of feels like every UI-tool but there are some essential differences
  
• Time: saves significant time and inconvenience in a designer’s workflow
• Collaboration: sharing work and fostering feedback
• Community:  a culture based on the values of work-sharing, peer learning, and open-source contributions

If you've never used Figma or want to take the way you design to the next level, this event is for you!

About the Speaker

Saleena Beharry is a Designer and Front-End Developer at Launch That. She's always happy to share her knowledge of building scalable design systems, functional design, behavioral economics, and analyzing data that tap into users' non-conscious and motivations.
