Curious about all this talk related to Liquid Glass and interface design? Ready to close out the summer with a casual happy hour with fellow creatives? The Cincinnati chapter of Friends of Figma invites you to an event along the banks of the not-so-glassy Ohio River, on Wednesday August 20th at 5:30pm. We'll be meeting outside on the Reds Patio at The Filson, drinks and snacks are on you (we're looking for future event sponsors).

🗓️ Event Details

It's been some time since our last Friends of Figma event in Cincinnati, so our agenda this time around is simple: show up, have a drink, meet some folks. That's it, that's the event. We'll be outside on the Reds Patio (weather permitting) from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. Drinks and food can be purchased at the bar indoors. No Reds game that night, so we should have the patio mostly to ourselves.

Liquid Glass (or sometimes just "glass") is a technique that manipulates light, depth, frost, and more to create dynamic UI elements that refract light like physical glass. The team at Apple recently teased this new design language that will be coming to iOS, macOS, and more, and designers everywhere are talking about how they might use it in their own interfaces and marketing materials.
