4:15 PM	Victoria Leontieva - Open source and Design	Originally from Ukraine, Victoria currently lives in Berlin, and designs things at GitHub. Her areas of focus are product design and design infrastructure. As an immigrant and a self-taught designer, she shares her experiences as a way to give back to the design community. Victoria will open the discussion with Open source and Design. The design community has undergone a rapid transformation in its recent years. Our tools and new ways of working are changing how we design and collaborate. With this shift we have an opportunity to democratize design. The idea of design open source has been around for a while. But does it live up to our expectations? In this talk we’ll take a detour into the history of open source, and draw parallels and distinctions between open source in software and design. We’ll look at our community’s past, its present, and possibilities for a better future.
4:45 PM	Anfisa Bogomolova - Smooth transition into UX design	Anfisa Bogomolova is a User-Centered Product Designer with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion to help creatives. Starting from 2012 she has a strong passion for building products. In the last 9 years, she has built 3 startups and worked as a freelance for companies like NCR corp., Storyhunter, Connectpay, Aerum, and others. Currently, she is working as a Sr. UX at Citrix, focusing on the employee's productivity and workspace. Since 2016 she's taught UX fundamentals to 1000+ students at www.uxforfreelancers.com. As a side project, she is also running a UX blog and a podcast. In her talk, Anfisa will help us take a Smooth transition into UX design. Practical talk full of exercises and action points for anyone who wants to transition into UX or product design.
