Welcome to the very first Friends of Figma, Southampton event 🌊 

This event is an opportunity for designers, developers and creatives to connect, share ideas and help shape a new creative community in the city. Whether you are a seasoned professional, a student or just curious about design and collaboration, this event is for you.

The evening will start with casual networking, giving you a chance to meet others in the community. This will be followed by a talk from FoF Leader Ben Sharpe and FoF Team Member Cas Magee, where they will introduce Friends of Figma Southampton, explain what you can expect from future events and open the floor for discussion.

We also want to hear from you. Whether you have a project to share, a job opportunity, a topic you are passionate about or just something interesting to say, we will be giving shoutouts to our members. This is a community-driven event, and we want you to be part of the conversation.

How to attend

Location: Dhaba 59, 59 Lodge Rd, Southampton SO14 6RH

We are hosting this event in partnership with our friends at Dhaba 59. With its rich cultural fusion of Indian, Ugandan, and Kenyan flavors and its warm, family-run atmosphere, Dhaba 59 provides the perfect setting for our first gathering—an inspiring venue that sparks creativity and imagination.

To join us, you will need a ticket. You can get yours by signing up as an official Friends of Figma Southampton member via this link. Once registered, you will receive your ticket by email, which will serve as your entry. Due to capacity limits, we can only accommodate 30 attendees, so please make sure to sign up in advance. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to allow entry without a ticket.

The official event ends at 8:00pm, but the evening doesn’t have to end there. For those who would like to continue the conversation Dhaba 59 will be open until late for drinks.
