Speaker #1: Dominic Neo, UX Engineer at DBS Bank

As a UX Engineer at DBS Bank, Dominic takes his passion for both web development and UI/UX design to help both developers and designers work together, in order to build scalable, performant, yet visually-appealing interfaces. Dominic will be talking about the role of a UX Engineer in a design team and how it helps to push the goals of the team forward. He will also be describing the various ways that people can transition into the role should they be keen to.

Speaker #2: Reza Ilmi, Principal Product Designer/Design System Specialist at Terrascope

Reza Ilmi is currently a Principal Product Designer at Terrascope and previously served as a Design System Specialist at MoneyHero Group. With a deep understanding of scalable design systems, Reza combines his technical expertise with a user-centric approach to product design. In his talk, Reza will delve into the evolving nature of design roles, touching on topics such as the commodification of UX/UI, the impact of AI on design, and how designers can safeguard their careers by specializing and staying adaptable in a rapidly changing industry.

Speaker #3: Arthur Lee, Product Designer/XR Enthusiast at Govtech

Arthur Lee is a UX Designer at GovTech who blends creativity with technology to drive impactful solutions for the public good. With a strong focus on leveraging Al and next-gen technology, Arthur's current project involves developing an Al-powered resume builder to help job seekers enhance their chances of landing a job. Passionate about the potential of extended reality (XR) and spatial computing, he has developed numerous prototypes and was even named runner-up in a recent XR design competition. Arthur’s work reflects his belief that next-gen technologies like AI and XR will shape the future of design and public services.

Facilitator: Stewart Huang, Sr Product Designer/Design Engineer at Govtech

Stewart is a Design Engineer at GovTech who blends aesthetics with technical skills, narrowing the critical design-execution gap. He spearheads cross-functional teams on strategic national projects such as the SafeEntry Programme and most recently, the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme, focusing on delivering precision in craft and impact at scale.
