Ben Bowes,

Product Designer Manager, OGP

As Product Design Manager at OGP, Ben helps ensure that the design team has everything it needs to be successful from coaching and mentoring to tools and processes. With over 15 years of experience in the design industry, Ben has worked on teams across the globe but his focus has always been on people. Ben spends his free time hanging out with his family, listening to an endless stream of audiobooks, and dabbling in illustration.

Carina Lim

Product Designer, RedeemSG, OGP

Carina is a Product Designer at Open Government Products. She currently works on RedeemSG, the product which powers Singapore’s CDC vouchers. She likes good typography, pottery, and talking to aunties and uncles at hawker centers.

Stacey Tan

Product Designer, Scamshield, OGP

Stacey is a Product Designer at Open Government Products. At work, she fights scams, helps government officials build forms and drinks a ton of coffee. Outside of work, you can find her playing beach volleyball and doing yoga.

Khaleedah Sairi

Product Designer, Scamshield OGP

As a Product Designer at Open Government Products, Khaleedah spends her time fighting scams and pushing forward the quality of visual design across the team. She’s also an amateur sewist, an average badminton player, and an avid coffee drinker.

1. RedeemSG: Designing an Inclusive Digital Voucher System

RedeemSG has supported Singapore’s CDC Vouchers since its first digital launch. About 98% and 94% of Singaporean households have claimed their December 2021 and May 2022 CDC vouchers respectively, totaling a utilization amount of ~$211 million. Ever wondered what makes the user experience stick with residents across demographics, or why the flow involves merchants scanning QR codes? Join us as we share the explorations, iterations, and tradeoffs that went into designing Singapore’s trusted vouchers.

2. ScamShield: Taking a Community-driven Approach to Fighting Scams

ScamShield was first launched as a single iOS app to fight scam messages and calls. As scams become more prevalent in Singapore, we’re taking a community-driven approach to this problem and enlisting the public to help with reporting and blocking them. Learn more about how designing experiences on Android and our bots have contributed to these efforts.
