Listen to Wenshu, Andrew, and Liying as they speak about the ups and downs of mentorship from both the perspective of a mentee and mentor, and how you may start to benefit from either role.

Wenshu Kwek

Senior Product Designer at Shopify

Wenshu is a senior product designer at Shopify with a background in industrial design. He helps reduce risk in product development and solve tricky problems with elegant and thoughtful solutions. He works best in cross-functional teams and spent 7 years building B2C and B2B products and teams.

Andrew Chen

Product Designer at Meta

Andrew is a product designer based in London, working as a Product Designer at Meta. His career started in Singapore, where he was previously a Product Designer at Grab. With a background in digital animation, he marries his love for animation with product design to help amplify the stories and needs of his users to create experiences they love.

Since 2019, he has volunteered with Hatch to help mentor their UI/UX learners.

Liying Choo

Chief Operating Officer at Hatch

Li Ying is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hatch. She heads key partnerships, manages the team, and ensures smooth delivery in the programs. She sees the potential in every individual and believes that given the right resources and environment, any individual can grow to their fullest potential. With the belief that magic is created through collaboration, she strives to empower others to develop and grow, thus continuing this cycle of giving back to the community.
