Welcome to our first in-person Friends of Figma Perth group event! After organising online events over years and many individual 1:1 support sessions, continuous training and lots of Figma coaching. We are now joining forces and launching a partnership between several individuals hosted by Telstra Purple.

With over 10 years of experience in Product Design, Strategy and Research, Ben has collaborated with a broad range of clients from local start-ups to national enterprises with a nudge towards improving the outcomes of people within the Health sector through Design.
Ben is currently a Lead Consultant at Telstra Purple in Perth working with an amazingly talented team there. Ben is dedicated to rapidly crafting exceptional product solutions in a collaborative and feasible approach leveraging the latest Figma feature drops whilst having fun 🎉.
The Internet of Things always seems to be discussed quite broadly and geared towards the use of Big Data and Blue Sky Thinking. I wanted to fill in the gaps and dig deeper into the role Design has in the Internet of Things with actionable insights and thought starters that can be applied to your own IoT project in the future.

However, articulating our value to stakeholders can sometimes be challenging and its not always easy with office politics.
