Hey everyone! We hope you guys are well and keeping yourselves save in your homes. We looked through our feedbacks and suggestions from previous participants and decided to pick UX Research as our theme for this upcoming meetup. UX Research is a vital element in building a good product that is lovable and most importantly usable. It bridges the communication gap between actual users and the product team. We invited our fellow friend who is a UX Researcher at Stampede Design to share about what's UX Research and how you can get started.

Mabel is a UX Researcher and Designer at Stampede. She has 6 years of experience researching, building and delivering products for agencies, product companies as well as her own startup. In her free time, Mabel enjoys reading, yoga, and photography.

About Friends of Figma, Kuala Lumpur

Friends of Figma, Kuala Lumpur a.k.a FOF_Kuala Lumpur is one of many Figma community user groups that existed in the world.

Our first meetup started back in the December 2019 and it was already a virtual session. We invited awesome speakers from Singapore, Australia and even Brazil! We even created a virtual Figma map so that we could interact with our lovely participants and speakers virtually! The community is run by 2 designers in KL. The first one is David Yap who is the chapter lead. He is currently freelance UI/UX Designer who helped a lot of companies to build great products and experiences. Fun fact: he also has a patent registered under his name! The second one is Chee Seng. He is an Associate UI/UX Designer in Stampede Design. Fun fact: he carves rubber stamps and used to code.
