Figma Meetup #4 will be in a lightning talk format with 3 special guests from Shopee, Shopify and Figma (Whoop! What?) That's right, for our first 2020 session, Dylan Field - CEO of Figma will be dropping by for a visit. So come and join us to hear from teams that are using Figma to experiment and improve their workflow as well as from the founder of Figma himself 😬. Bring your friends/teams! With a background in Computer Science and more than 5 years of professional experience in design, he brings a unique engineering perspective to solving complex design problems. A maker at heart, he enjoys building modest products and tools that people find useful. 2/ Chenmu Wu - Product Designer at Shopee Chenmu is an Architect turned UX Designer. With a passion and curiosity for user experience and digital product design, he loves to study the inner workings of a product from a logical standpoint. At Shopee, he helps the team build and manage the Design Language System of the Shopee App, as well as the component library. 3/ Dylan Field - CEO at Figma Dylan Field is CEO and Co-founder of Figma, a collaborative design tool for teams who build products together. With the support of the Thiel Fellowship, Dylan dropped out of Brown University to start Figma with his TA Evan Wallace (who became Figma’s CTO). They built Figma on the web in the hopes of tearing down the walls around the siloed design process. Dylan champions open, accessible design and believes such tooling must evolve for a cloud-based, collaborative world.
