About this event

If Sketch is Microsoft Word, Figma is Google Docs. And Google Docs is, among other things, famed for allowing an entire team to work on a single document at the same time without blips in performance. Design teams migrate to Figma for the same reason: editors, sometimes dozens of them, can collaborate in the same project, greatly expediting the speed of building a user interface.

For this Meetup, we're going to run through how "multiplayer" editing in Figma works and tinker with it for most of the session. Using a version of Figma for nonprofits, attendees will divide into teams of three or four and tackle a design challenge together. Each challenge will come with a set of pre-assembled components ("symbols" in Sketch) to save time.

Interested? Here's what to bring:
1. A laptop with a good graphics processor.
2. A charger for said laptop.
3. Colleagues and friends interested in design technology.
4. A spirit of collaboration.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at [masked] or my colleague, Jeremy, at [masked].
