Welcome to our first quarterly book club! This time we are reading the classic: The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman.
We're excited to kick off our first quarterly book club with a classic read: The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman.
This is meant to be an pretty laid back book club. Feel free to read at your own pace, reflect on and discuss what we've learned or whatever is interesting. This book is always mentioned in conversations of UX and design (and admittley I haven't read it yet either, so itll be my first time as well ). Whether you're a design professional, a hobbyist, or just someone curious about the intersection of design and our daily experiences, this book will give you plenty to think about.
Some things to keep in mind while reading:
So feel free to join the discussion thread at any time to share your thoughts, ask questions, or reflect on your favorite parts of the book. Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging space for open dialogue, where we can all learn from each other’s perspectives and experiences.
We are announcing this one a bit early just to have something on the books and give folks a bit of a heads up so we can everyone squared away with a copy of the book.If you need to find a copy of the book you can borrow the one copy from the library (good luck) or buy it for yourself. If you still help tracking down your own copy or need a copy to borrow digitally feel free to reach out and I can help with that.
