Who we are

Friends of Figma Auckland is an open-minded community for everyone in the digital product world who uses or is interested in Figma - regardless of your role or experience level. Whether you're a designer crafting pixel-perfect interfaces, a developer implementing designs, a tester ensuring quality, or a product manager coordinating it all - this community is for you!

Our core principles

While we strive for horizontal relationships within our community, there are naturally different roles and responsibilities depending on projects and activities. These community roles exist independent of any job titles we may hold in our day jobs. When we all respect this principle, we create space for healthier and more creative collaboration.

As our focus is on learning and collaboration around Figma, we kindly ask members to keep job postings and recruitment activities to more appropriate platforms.

How to join

To become a member of our community:

1. Make sure you're using a Figma Community account (not your regular Figma tool account)
2. Sign in to your Figma Community account or create one if you don't have it yet
3. Navigate to our group page
4. Click the "Join" button next to the group title

Become a community contributor

We're looking for passionate members to help grow our community! There are several ways you can contribute:

Event Host: Help organise and facilitate meetups and workshops

Social Media Support: Assist with our online presence and community engagement

Visual Designer: Work on graphics and visual materials for our events and channels

Workshop Facilitator: Share your Figma skills and knowledge through hands-on sessions

Event Planning: Help coordinate and plan our community gatherings
