Hi FoF PDX friends!
Two professors from PSU reached out to me to see if anyone in the FoF network might be interested in volunteering to review the portfolios of PSU Graphic Design Seniors.
See below to learn more -- I've copied the information that was sent to me:
Hello!
I'm excited to be teaching the Senior Portfolio class this Fall term at Portland State University, Graphic Design, and I'd love to invite you (or even someone on your team!) to join us for some informal one-on-one chat with our students.
This course serves as their capstone class and is the final step before graduation. The students are diverse designers, and many have developed specific areas of focus they are passionate about. At this stage, they need to practice articulating their work and creative processes to industry professionals.
What I'm asking:
Participate in 40-minute informal conversations with students.
Scheduled on Tuesdays or Thursdays (flexible scheduling) through October and November.
In-person at the PSU Art Building
Share your professional insights and perspectives—no formal critiques or preparations are needed.
These conversations are a valuable opportunity for students to practice discussing their work and design thinking while receiving real-world perspectives from professionals like you who are actively working in the creative industry. Your insights can significantly help them as they prepare for their transition into the workforce.
