Beyond design, a designer's task now involves influencing how products evolve and succeed in the market. From Awareness stage to Conversion stage. The designer has a big role to play to make sure users are not dropping off (churn) in the pipeline.

A nice, clean and good design might still churn more than normal. Take Amazon's webshop as a example, it has to be one of the most boring and un-UXly website around today but it is still delivering growth. Why are they so convinced to keep it that way? It is growth data!
