Product development is evolving fast — and AI is changing more than just speed. It’s reshaping how we think, structure problems, and collaborate with machines.
Join Jon Litwack, Head of Design Innovation at Slalom, for an interactive, hands-on workshop exploring context engineering — an emerging discipline that’s redefining how teams build with AI.
This session will walk through the progression of context engineering: where it came from, what it looks like today, and how it’s being applied in real product workflows. More than prompt writing, context engineering is about designing the right inputs, constraints, and systems so AI produces reliable, high-quality output.
Together, we’ll cover:
The history and evolution of context engineering
What context engineering looks like in practice
Real-world applications across product and design workflows
A live tutorial using Claude Desktop — and how to transition its output into Claude Code for production-ready workflows
This is a hands-on, interactive workshop. Everyone will follow along, creating and pushing their projects live — whether it’s a webpage, app, complex tool, or simple prototype. The focus isn’t on what you build, but on learning to use AI effectively and experiencing how context engineering shapes your output.
Please come prepared with your laptop; setup instructions and any required tools will be shared closer to the event date.
