Friends of Figma Tokyoは、Friends of Figma Aucklandとのコラボレーションミートアップを開催します。
来日中のコミュニティリーダー Emilie を迎えて実施します✨

本セッションでは、Emilieがニュージーランドおよびオーストラリアのマーケットでデザインキャリアを築いてきた経験をもとに、実践的なインサイトを共有します。
主に英語圏でのキャリアを想定した内容ではありますが、グローバルな環境での仕事に関心のあるデザイナーにとって、幅広く応用できるテーマを扱います。

役割や責任範囲に対する考え方、採用プロセス、そしてマーケットごとにCVやポートフォリオがどのように見られ、改善されていくのかといった点について掘り下げていきます。

登壇型のプレゼンテーションではなく、少人数でのディスカッションを中心としたセッションとして進行し、その後にオープンなQ&Aや参加者同士の会話の時間を設ける予定です。

スピーカーについて

Emilieは、ニュージーランド・オークランドを拠点に活動するシニアプロダクトデザイナーです。
US発のグローバルSaaS企業 Actionstep にて、リーガルテック領域のプロダクトデザインに携わっています。

ニュージーランドのIT業界で11年以上の経験を持ち、エージェンシー、スタートアップ、政府機関、グローバル企業など、幅広い環境での実務経験があります。
また、Friends of Figma Aucklandのコミュニティリードとして、ローカルデザインコミュニティの運営にも関わっています。

このイベントへの参加方法

Working Beyond Borders FoF Tokyo × FoF Auckland Meetup

Friends of Figma Tokyo is hosting a collaborative meetup with Friends of Figma Auckland, welcoming community leader Emilie during her visit to Tokyo✨

In this session, Emilie will share practical insights from her experience building a design career across the NZ and AU markets. While the discussion is most relevant to English-speaking regions, many of the themes are broadly applicable to designers considering global roles.

We will explore topics such as role expectations and responsibilities, hiring processes, and how CVs and portfolios are reviewed and refined for different markets.

Rather than a formal presentation, this will be a small, discussion-led session, followed by open Q&A and conversation among participants.

Please note: This session will be held in English. A conversational level of English is sufficient.

About the Speaker

Emilie is a Senior Product Designer at Actionstep, a US-based global SaaS company in the legal technology space, and is based in Auckland, New Zealand. She also leads the Friends of Figma Auckland community.

She has over 11 years of experience in New Zealand’s IT industry, working across agencies, startups, government agencies, and global organisations, with domain experience spanning e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing software, logistics, finance, and legal technology.

Originally from South Korea, Emilie transitioned from advertising and web development into product design after relocating to New Zealand. Her cross-disciplinary background informs a practical, systems-oriented approach to building products and navigating careers across English-speaking markets.

How to Join This Event

2. When the message “Please respond to this event now.” appears, click “Log in.”

3. On the login screen, click “Login with Figma” and sign in.

4. When the message “Please respond to this event now.” appears again, click the black “→” button.

5. Enter the required information under “Attendee information”, then click the white “→” button.

6. When “RSVP confirmed!” is displayed, your registration is complete.

7. Please check that you have received a confirmation email titled
