About this event

Join us for an unforgettable Vibe Design Workshop led by Dianne Alter, the Co-founder of The Design Project. Dive deep into the creative process and learn how to create powerful, engaging designs using Figma and AI. Hosted by the University of Miami's Department of Interactive Media at the School of Communication.

The future is here, and it's wild. Designers can now take their Figma files and actually ship real, working code. Not hand it off. Not wait. BUILD. This changes everything. Side projects you've been sitting on? Ship them. Ideas your company keeps deprioritizing? Build them yourself. You don't need to wait for a developer anymore.

Tools we'll use:

  • Claude Code

  • Cursor (AI-powered code editor)

  • Figma MCP (connects your designs to AI)

  • GitHub (to ship your code)

Come prepared:

  • Watch this video to set up your environment before the workshop: https://youtu.be/nbnD2h4IP8I

  • Bring your laptop and an open mind, you'll leave with real code in the browser.
