AI in the Design Workflow: What’s Actually Working

Feb 19, 6:30 – 9:00 AM (UTC)

Melbourne

About this event

AI is everywhere - but what does it actually look like inside real product teams?

Join us for an evening at Atlassian exploring how design teams are using AI in their day-to-day workflows to build products today - not the hype, not the theory.

This session brings together two perspectives:

Session 1: SimonBhairavi from Atlassian sharing how AI fits into large-scale product teams - from exploration and iteration to collaboration and delivery.

Session 2: Claire from Chronicle, an AI-powered product baked right here in Melbourne, offering a different lens on designing and building with AI at the core.

Across both sessions, we’ll talk openly about:

  1. Where AI genuinely helps in the design workflow
  2. What teams are still figuring out
  3. How designers balance speed, quality, and intent
  4. The trade-offs that come with introducing AI into everyday work

The evening will be conversational and practical, with time for audience questions, shared experiences, and discussion across different team sizes and contexts.

Whether you’re experimenting with AI, actively using it, or still trying to make sense of where it fits, this session is about learning from each other and understanding how AI is shaping design work right now.
