A year ago, Thomas was still figuring out how AI could fit into his work. As a rapidly evolving technology, AI is something we are all learning from the ground up. Today, he uses it daily, having learned where it can genuinely support his process.

In this talk, Thomas will walk through his end-to-end research and design process. While the process has remained largely consistent throughout his career, AI has augmented it and changed the way he works!

Thomas will share an example of using AI to rapidly vibe-code realistic, end-to-end prototypes for user testing.

To get the most from AI, it is important to understand how things work before jumping into prototyping. Thomas will discuss the theory that has been most useful to him. Thomas will also explain when he reaches for AI tools, when he does not, and why.

Finally, Thomas will share how SEEK’s design teams are being supported to succeed with AI. SEEK’s AI Intensive L&D workstream equips designers with the skills to embrace and experiment with AI in their process. It is one of the many reasons SEEK is such a great place to work!
