Design it. Build it. Ship it. In one day.

Most events end with notes and good intentions. This one ends with something you made.

Make-a-thon 2026 is a one-day, in-person build day by Friends of Figma Hyderabad. It is part of a global Friends of Figma initiative that chapters around the world are running, and we want Hyderabad's version to be the one others point to.

The idea is simple. You form a team of five, pick a real problem worth solving, research it properly, and turn it into a working prototype in Figma Make. Use AI, no-code, code, or anything else that gets you there. The final canvas is Figma Make, and how you reach it is up to you.

Why this one is different

• Real problems, not made-up prompts. The challenges come from issues in India that are still unresolved, the kind where better design and smarter use of AI could make a difference.

• Research is part of the build. You will find a specific person to design for and talk to real users. Solutions that come from real conversations beat assumptions, and the judges will notice.

• Think like a founder. Beyond the prototype, you will show how your idea could grow into something real, and who else in the ecosystem it could serve.

• Mixed teams, real collaboration. Designers, product managers and AI builders work side by side, the way great products actually get made.

Who it's for
We call everyone in the room a Builder. If you design, manage products, or build with AI, whether you are a student, a working professional or somewhere in between, this is for you. You do not need a team to sign up. Solo joiners will be matched on the day.
