Friends of Figma Hyderabad is proud to collaborate with the Department of Design, IIT Hyderabad for Ayaam'26 — the Annual Design Festival themed "Glitch in the Gully." A celebration where the raw energy of Indian street life meets design thinking. Where jugaad becomes a method. Where creativity meets chaos, and something meaningful comes out of it. Together, we're bringing this experience to the student design community of Hyderabad and beyond.

DESIGNATHON — in collaboration with Friends of Figma Hyderabad

Friends of Figma Hyderabad and IIT Hyderabad's Department of Design are co-hosting the first-ever Ayaam Designathon — a 48-hour challenge where participants identify a real problem, conduct research, and build a prototype through iterative, human-centered design thinking.

Choose your theme:

→ Repair the Broken System: Redesign inefficient public services or systems

→ Design for the Invisible User: Create inclusive solutions for underserved or overlooked user groups

Throughout the Designathon:

→ Mentorship from design practitioners

→ AMA session with industry professionals

→ Shortlisted teams present at IIT Hyderabad on April 4–5

→ Top entries featured on Ayaam's official platforms

→ Certificate of participation for all

Open to individuals and teams (up to 4 members). Free.
