Ever wanted to build something without a brief, a stakeholder, or a single round of feedback?

This is a Make-a-thon. Think of it as a build session centred entirely on Figma Make — Figma's prompt-to-app tool. We spin Figma's word generator live in the room, everyone gets the same two random words, and then you have 75 minutes to prompt your way to something that actually runs in a browser. That's the whole thing.

The two words could be anything. "Melancholy Toaster." "Aggressive Library." Whatever comes up is your starting point — the constraint is absurd on purpose, because it takes the pressure off making something good and lets you focus on making something at all.

To be clear about the format: there is no judging, no voting, and no competition. Nobody wins and nobody loses. At the end of the sprint, anyone who wants to share what they built can — and if you'd rather just keep tinkering or look over someone else's shoulder, that's an equally valid way to spend the evening.

👋 Senior mentors will be in the room for the full sprint — experienced designers and builders who'll sit with you, help you get unstuck, look at your prompts, and talk through what's going wrong. Just wave someone down.

Who this is for: Anyone with a Figma account. You do not need to have touched Figma Make before — we spend the first 20 minutes on a proper walkthrough. Designers, developers, students, founders, and the AI-curious are all equally welcome. Some of the best builds come from people who opened the tool for the first time that evening.
