Welcome to the Friends of Figma Accessible Design group! This is a global community of professionals and students interested in learning how to build better, more accessible experiences. We encourage people from all backgrounds — not just designers and creatives — to join! Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience in the space, there's something for everyone.
Accessible design and systems are methodologies that draw on and celebrate the full range of human diversity. Recognizing biases and exclusions that guide our current approaches and using these insights as opportunities to do better are the main goals of this group. We hope this community helps bring these conversations to the forefront.
You can expect to see talks, workshops, industry panels, weekly challenges, informational presentations and more on a variety of topics related to accessibility. Join the #accessible-design channel on our Slack group and say hello! Also, please make sure to click the Join button (at the top of this page, under the banner) so you can tune in for any future events and access past recordings.
Feedback, accommodation requests and suggestions are always welcome! Your advice will help us manage this group better. Please feel free to reach out on Slack about any group related queries.
All community activity and events for this group are expected to follow the Figma Code of Conduct.
